What We Inspect
A home inspection is an information
service and the information you receive
should provide "peace of mind" after completing a
technical review of the home. The
inspection is a snapshot of the
condition of the home on the day of the
inspection and will help you gain a
better understanding of the house.
The home review will include a visual
inspection of the following major
systems and components:
Roof, vents and flashing, and trim
Eaves, soffit and fascia
Gutters and downspouts
Skylight, chimney and all roof
penetrations
Decks, porches and walkways
Yard grading and drainage
Basement, foundation and crawlspace
Water penetration and foundation
movement
Heating and cooling systems
Main water shut off valves
Interior plumbing fixtures
Drainage sump pumps and floats
Electrical service entrance and meter
Main disconnect and service amperage
Electrical panels, breakers and fuses
Grounding and bonding
Ground fault circuit indicators
Attic insulation and ventilation
Garage doors, safety sensors and openers
Interior finishes including windows and
doors
And much more.....
The inspection is visual in nature,
non-destructive, non-invasive and is
intended to focus on the "Big Picture"
and address those items that could
affect your buying decision. For this
reason it is important to retain A Home
Inspection Company Inc. experienced inspectors with excellent
communication skills and strong
technical background.
Home inspections are performed in a
manner consistent with the Canadian
Association of Home & Property
Inspectors and the Canadian Association
of Home Inspectors
Standards of Practice
&
Code of Ethics.
